Trump’s “Free” Plane, India’s Unhappy, and the US Welcomes Some Refugees Who Happen to Be White

We asked nicely, but the world ignored our requests to chill out during our spring break, so this week, Seena and Travis are back with a doozy of a show.

ICYMI, here's what we covered:

Trump's “Free” $400 Million Plane

Trump is explaining his acceptance of Boeing 747 from Qatar as a necessary replacement for the current Air Force One. I'm sure it also doesn't hurt that the plane, deemed a "palace in the sky," is also the blinged out former transport for the Qatari royal family.

Trump claims he'd have to be a "stupid person" to turn down a "free, very expensive airplane," but, aside from the fact that accepting gifts from foreign powers is illegal, the "free" plane would cost taxpayers hundreds of millions dollars to upgrade it to the security specifications required to transport the president. But, why overthink it, right? Let's not be stupid, people. Because if you tried to think AT ALL then you'd see that Qatar has been trying to get rid of this plane for YEARS.

Oh, and the US has agreed to sell $1.9 billion in weapons to Qatar. This is definitely not connected. Nothing to see here, keep it moving.

India's Unhappy with US Involvement in Ceasefire Agreement

Trump can't shut up about US involvement in the recent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan and India is annoyed. Critics inside the country think the US caved to Pakistan "nuclear blackmail" too soon and should not have conflated the terrorist violence perpetrated in Kashmir with India's "legitimate" response.

The ceasefire is holding despite these concerns, but a defiant and resolute Narendra Modi claimed India would no longer differentiate between the Pakistani government and the terrorist organizations it protects. This should make everyone a bit nervous. (NOTE TO PAKISTAN: PLEASE DO NOT LAUNCH THE GHAZNAVI MISSILE, IT WILL RUIN OUR SEARCH RESULTS)

Trump Leaving Bibi Behind?

The recent release of the last Israeli-American hostage, which circumvented Israel entirely, was another sign of the growing distance between the Trump Administration and Israel. In recent weeks, the US has negotiated a peace with the Houthis, who continue to attack Israel; proposed lifting sanctions on Syria, whose leader Israel considers a "jihadist;" welcomed the release of an American hostage while Israel escalated bombing attacks in Gaza; and reopened talks with Iran towards a nuclear deal.

Trump insists that the US relationship with Israel has not changed, but the world recently watched a highly covered Trump trip to the Middle East, where he shook hands with just about everyone except Bibi Netanyahu. We'll be talking more about the realignment in the Middle East and how Trump's greed has brought a strange tranquility to the region. (I know I know vomit I know)

The US Welcomes White South Africans

The US recently granted 48 Afrikaners refugee status, whom Trump noted, "happen to be white." Trump has been decrying the much disproven supposed genocide of white South Africans for some time. Hear more on today's episode of the Daily.

Pope Leo XIV Not a JD Vance Fan

In some of the least surprising news of the week, the new Pope came out early against the VP with a tweet sharing this article. Also, in one of our favorite articles of the week, Vance's home state did a deep dive into what makes Vance such a compelling heel. Vance also MET the new Pope and said "It's good to see you." What is he, on your softball team? You guys gonna run a couple laps together?

The show also covered the $180 million in fighter jets lost to the Red Sea this year, new trade "deals," and more. Just, go ahead, give it a listen...
