Not technically a rendition, I know, but do we even have a word for it? ICYMI, Trump rang in 2026 by kidnapping the president of Venezuela. Yep, the supposed president of peace is attempting to bring a war to all continents– better look out Antartica.
On this week's show we dug into the why. Why now, why Maduro, what could Venezuela have that we could possibly want?

As we enter the new year with so much news coming out of Venezuela, it's important to remember that we're all still reeling from The Trump Administration's immigration policies stateside –– people who have been impacted include immigrants from Venezuela, such as two asylum seekers highlighted in this article who were working in rural Ohio while their asylum cases played out... Like so many immigrants who seek asylum in the U.S., the Lagunas feared for their lives in their home country due to their opposition to Nicholas Maduro's presidential administration, but now they're both being held captive in ICE facilities for crimes they say they didn't even commit –– it's a small, strange, sad situation playing out in The Buckeye State, but one that highlights how foreign policy continues to be domestic policy as the new military developments in Venezuela play out
