Ep. 62: And You Thought It Couldn't Get Worse ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Hey FRs,

On last week's show we covered the unfolding story of Hegseth's attempts to shunt off blame for the Venezuelan double tap. Let me tell ya, it's not looking good.

So the two guys had no way of escaping and were just desperately clinging to scraps of wood?

And the targeted boat wasn't even on its way to the US?

And even Bill Kristol is questioning the strategy?!

After all the head scratching and finger wagging, we also covered the 12 million dollar bailout headed to farmers struggling under Trump's non-existent trade war (see Travis's section below for more on that); Honduras issuing an arrest warrant for their former narco-trafficking president, whom Trump recently pardoned; and the UN being backed into a funding corner when it comes to emergency aid.

And even then we couldn't get to it all, so we had our first ever LIVE SHOW!!!

If you missed it, be sure to subscribe to us on YouTube for future show announcements. And if you haven't already, check out last week's show:

Meanwhile in Ohio: What Travis is Reading โ€“โ€“

Ohio farmers on both sides of the aisle react to news of federal subsidies coming their way
The subsidies are meant to help farmers in Ohio and across the country who have been hurt by weather and trade tariffs.

Last week on TFR we talked about how American farmers all over the country are getting pummeled by The Trump Administration's tariffs, so much so that now the federal government is instituting another round of bailout payments (similar to what they had to do during Trump's first term!). However, some farmers in Ohio aren't buying the hypeโ€“ as one Buckeye State farmer noted, โ€œThese hush money payments wonโ€™t benefit farmers at all. Theyโ€™ll be immediately assimilated by the monopolies that control our fertilizer, seeds and crop protection supplies, magically resulting in increased costs... These payments will go through farmers like poop through a goose.โ€

Coming Up on TFR...

This week we're going to recap 2025 and look forward to all the 2026 fun we're sure to have! Over the following two weeks we'll be sharing interviews with Dr. Nadine Strossen, free speech warrior, former head of the ACLU, and Seena's former law school professor(!), and Frank Spring, the go-to consultant for progressive candidates who want to connect with voters in a real way. Really interesting stuff.

Also, coming in 2026, we'll be coming to you a day early! So look for us on Thursdays starting January 8.
