Ep. 47 The Good Liars Tell The Truth About MAGA

Hey TFRers,
Coming to you a day late and many dollars short, but we hope you all had a lovely long weekend full of grilled items and sunshine. We also hope you checked out last week's show featuring the Good Liars. In the ep we went looking for silver linings in MAGA-world's uncertainly about some of Trump's latest moves, but even the Good Liars didn't have the stomach to shade the truth that far.
We ended up with some slightly brownish linings but had a lot of laughs so it was worth it. Check it out if you haven't already– https://linktr.ee/theforeignreport.
But, if you need an immediate post-holiday-weekend-catching-up-on-the-news-laugh, we got you. Travis saying "slobbed down" gets us every time:
Seena's Corner....
“I’m a globalist”
Maybe that’s obvious, but I was recently slogging through an outline for the next season of Fraudsters where Alex Jones will be the subject of some episodes, and I realized… this guy hates globalists… I think that’s me! Yipee!
But where does that come from? If you look up the definition of globalist, it’s
“a person who advocates the interpretation or planning of economic and foreign policy in relation to events and developments throughout the world.”
If that’s you, apparently you hate America. Please call 1-800-I-AM-FCKD and a member of our team will be on shortly to walk you through your demise.
We keep talking about America First in this country, but it’s increasingly become America Alone. And not cute America Home Alone where slapstick comedy ensues if you enter our country at Christmas. No - it’s angry hermit kingdom America that hates the nannies who overstayed their Visas. “America: Come for the freedom, get deported for free!”
Here’s the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), it’s a BANGER. What’s in this that doesn’t make sense? Why can’t we actually run our country this way? I know why, it’s because they have the words “freedom from fear” in the intro paragraphs. NOT HERE. We are actually free to be afraid. In the most prosperous country in the world millions are afraid of:
- financial ruin
- healthcare catastrophes that result in financial ruin
- school shootings
- being renditioned to a foreign country
- being shot by police
- Stephen Miller’s wife
So yeah, I’m a globalist because I believe we should all have a minimal basis of human dignity and rights. We’re integrated with the world whether we like it or not, but i like it, so let’s gooooo!
